The Inaugural Quad Counties Black Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Attracts Hundreds in Montgomery, IL

The Influence Event Suite, 285 Montgomery Road in Montgomery, IL hosted the First Annual Quad County Black Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Gala on February 28th. More than 150 people attended the gala where nine African Americans from various walks of life were inducted.


"The QC Black Hall of Fame Gala was created from a simple but powerful belief: that excellence within our community deserves to be seen, celebrated and remembered," said Black Hall of Fame Founder and Owner of The Influence Suite Shearon Parham. The nine inductees were former Aurora Police Chief Keith Cross, Cassandra Allibalogun, Geneva L. Penson, former NBA player Kenny Battle, community activist Mary Fultz, Pastor George Rayford of New Community Baptist Church in Aurora, Betty J. Washington, past president of the Joliet NAACP; Jamal Williams, Second Ward Alderman in Plano, IL.; and award-winning entrepreneur Dr. Julian Wright.
