

Women In Business Tea Party Provided Networking For The Community on March 22nd
The 2026 Aurora Women In Business Tea Party attracted women from throughout the Northern Illinois area. The event presented by the Aurora Regional Economic Alliance and hosted by Mrs. Yolanda Dunn of Fit Time Fitness covered topics that allowed attendees to examine how they grow their businesses and succeed. The keynote speaker was City of Aurora Chief of Human Resources Mrs. Michele Clark.


Negro Leagues Baseball Player Dennis Biddle Provides Insights To The Sport He Loved
Former Negro Leagues player Dennis Biddle visited Aurora, IL on February 6th at the Aurora Public Art Commission. Mr. Biddle, 92 years young, is also the founder of "Yesterday's Negro League Baseball Players Foundation (YNLBP)." He shared his Traveling Museum, signed memorabila and sold autographed copies of his book "Secrets of the Negro Baseball League." Hundreds of guests attended Alpha Phi Alpha Mu Mu Lambda Annual Scholarship Gala on April 11th at The Carlisle in Lombard, IL. This year was the 50th anniversary of the chapter's charter.
