QCAACC Adds New Board Member: Sherman Neal of SYTE Corporation
The Quad County African American Chamber of Commerce (QCAACC) Board of Directors recently approved a new director. He is Mr. Sherman Neal, Senior Vice-President at SYTE Corporation, a Chicago-based heavy civil construction company and General Manager of Hooks Civil Works, its commercial paving affiliate.
"Mr. Neal's background includes various roles in management, strategy, finance, technology and marketing in the construction and financial services industry. In addition, Neal is a retired Navy Commander with over 20-year experience in various senior leadership roles in the US Navy. Neal is also former Vice President in corporate banking, with over 15 years tenure with major North American financial institutions specializing in corporate finance, technology budgeting and strategy, and financial information systems," said Board Chairman Sherman Jenkins.
Neal participates in various philanthropic and volunteer activities including President of the College of DuPage Foundation Board, the Obama Legacy Initiative, US Naval Academy Information Officer, and the Executive Board of the Three Fires Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
Neal’s former company, Hooks Construction, Inc., was the 2014 recipient of the QCAACC’s Company Achievement award.
Neal holds a Bachelor of Science (engineering and mathematics) from the United States Naval Academy (Annapolis, Md), MBA (Finance) from DePaul University (Chicago) and graduate studies in Management Information Systems from New York University. Welcome Sherman Neal.
