Angela Thomas is running in the March 17th election to retain her seat as Kane County Board member for District 4, which includes a portion of Aurora's far west side. She has spent her career in the business and nonprofit sectors educating and empowering others through resource sharing and timely, relevant communication.
"It’s a privilege to represent the residents of District 4 on the Kane County Board. In my first term, I worked at:
· Delivering a greater return on our tax dollars through more partnerships, less redundancy, and new proposals for revenue
· Sharing information about programs & services through increased personal contact and better online access
· Improving the effectiveness of the County Board by first improving internal processes and communication," Thomas stated.
"I am seeking re-election to build on that progress and to ensure the public's voice is heard and interests are protected."
Over the past 20 years, she has held a variety of roles in many organizations and fields. She began her career as a policy analyst and government affairs specialist in the areas of higher education and housing finance. She has worked as a management consultant, assisting private sector and government leaders develop communication solutions in support of human capital management, strategic change initiatives, and technology implementations.
In 2011, Angie started Clay Thomas Consulting to assist nonprofits with increasing community awareness, engaging prospective donors, and expanding programs and services.
