Dr. Adrian Talley
Indian Prairie School District's Board of Education is expected to vote January 13th to appoint Dr. Adrian Talley as the district's next Superintendent. He will replace Dr. Karen Sullivan, who is retiring in June.
The community is invited to meet Dr. Talley at a special reception from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 14th at the Crouse Education Center, 780 Shoreline Drive in Aurora.
Dr. Talley has more than three decades experience in education, according to a news release by IPSD. The news release goes on to state that he has spent the past five years as an administrator in Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS), one of the nation's 25 largest school districts, with 208 schools and centers, more than 130,000 students and 19,000 employees. He currently serves as Director of Community Schools for PGCPS, overseeing the management of 64 community schools within the district. Prior to his current position, he was the Executive Director of Student Services for the district.
