It is with a heavy heart that TMSG attend the Home Going Ceremonies for one of its avid fans and all around great young buddy...our own Chef Richard B. Green. He passed October 10th at his home in Atlanta at the age of 52. Chef was "just doin' what he do" as an Executive Chef in Atlanta, GA. Prior to moving to Atlanta, Chef Green operated the former Comfort Zone Bar-B-Q restaurant in downtown Aurora, IL.
The celebration of life services for Chef Green began with the visitation on Thursday, October 19th at Murray Brothers Funeral Home, 1199 Utoy Springs Road S.W., Atlanta, GA. The funeral was held Friday, October 20th at Life Center Ministries, 2690 Mt. Vernon Road, Dunwoody, GA. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Chef's home town of Detroit, MI., according to the Green Family.
As TMSG Publisher Sherman Jenkins said to the audience at the funeral, "...Sleep on my young bro...roast that brisket for the Creator and the Angels like only you can..."
